Today marked the final day of Primary 6’s Project Genie with the Lyceum. The class performed their drama piece, ‘Genie Island’ for parents and carers and showed off all their brilliant art work.
Thanks to all who came along and a big well done to Primary 6, you were fantastic!
Every year we take our P2, P4 and P6 pupils to the International Book Festival in Edinburgh. Booking is already underway for August! Pictures from last year show how much the children enjoy the event. Go to the Book Festival website to find out more about the all the different events this year.
P3 have been reading and writing with their P6 Book Week Buddies. P6 came to read us a story. Then they helped us to share our favourite parts and say why.
Travis – My favourite part was when the mouse scared the Gruffalo’s child. I like reading with the P6’s because they helped to read the story.
Ivan – When the P6’s helped us to write about the story and what happened, and our favourite part.
Damien – I liked Zog because all the people from the Gruffalo were in it.
Michael – I liked drawing my favourite part with the P6’s.
Lily – Megan had a loud reading voice which I liked.
Lilli – I liked the P6’s taking turns to read Stick Man
Aaron – The P6’s made it really fun because they read Robot Rumpus in a funny voice!
Craigroyston Primary are celebrating World Poetry Day.
P6 started off the day by reciting their own poems.
Well done P6. There are more pictures to follow of some of our other young poets.
So watch this space!
Primary 6 had a super week on our Bikeability course. We were learned lots of new skills, including controlling our bikes properly, bike maintenance and staying safe on the roads. Our instructors from MY Adventure were fantastic and came up with lots of fun activities to make sure our learning was enjoyable.
At the end of the course we got the opportunity to put all our new skills into practice with a cycling adventure in Muirhouse. On the Thursday we even had a visit from a very important person from the United Nations, who came to watch us learn.
