How are you all? I’m missing seeing your smiley faces everyday and hearing about what you have all been up to.
I hope you are enjoying undertaking some of the tasks in your Home Learning Packs, I noticed that some of you have been testing your maths skills on Sumdog. Don’t worry if you haven’t done anything in your pack yet, reading, playing games, helping to make meals, tidying your bedroom and all the other things you’ll have been up to are valuable experiences too. If you are looking for things to do, below is the recipe for the pancakes you made with Mr Hunter, I know you all really enjoyed baking them!
Drop Scones (makes about 12, we used ½ the recipe):
8 ounces Self Raising Flour
4 ounces Sugar
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
2 Eggs (beaten)
Pinch of Salt
Sieve the flour, salt and baking powder. Mix in the sugar. Make a well in the centre and add the eggs and enough milk to make a thick creamy batter. Beta it together well then leave it to stand for 15 minutes. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into a hot frying pan. When air bubbles start to appear on the surface of the pancake, flip it using a fish slice. Enjoy!
