Sing to make you feel good!
Whatever age you are – singing with other people will help you feel more relaxed, confident and healthy, as well as being great fun.
Why not give your all-new community choir a go – it’s open to school pupils and staff, parents, and local people. No singing skill or experience needed. Choir members help choose the music – rock, pop, folk… anything goes! You’ll be amazed at how good you can sound. Each choir will work towards performing a fantastic annual concert with a professional live band.
It’s FREE to attend, and the group style will be fun and informal. Sessions will be led by an experienced professional singing coach. They are open to adults and children from Primary 4 and above (school children will need permission from parents or carers if they want to come along).
Craigroyston Primary Gym Hall
Tuesdays during term time: 3.10 – 4.10pm
Mrs De Lewyn is fun and she comes in to sing with us. We play games with her and learn songs. We learned about using “Te” and “Ta” to keep the beat. “So” and “Mi” are high pitches and low pitches. A stave is where you write music on. We wrote out So-So Mi-Mi So-So Mi.
We were lucky enoough to have Dads Rock come to the nursery today for the morning and afternoon session and the children listened well to an exciting story and sang some amazing songs with Barry and his guitar.
We are hoping to have Dads Rock come along to take part in a singalong session with the children and their parents on Friday 16 December 2016…..more information to follow!
Dads Rock run free playgroups sessions for dads and kids every Saturday at WHALE arts, The Prentice Centre & The Venchie from 10-11.30am and also at 6VT Edinburgh City Youth Cafe on Sundays from 11-12.30pm.
