Today marked the final day of Primary 6’s Project Genie with the Lyceum. The class performed their drama piece, ‘Genie Island’ for parents and carers and showed off all their brilliant art work.
Thanks to all who came along and a big well done to Primary 6, you were fantastic!
Craigroyston Pupils held an art exhibition celebrating some of the fantastic artwork they have created this session – here is a selection from the exhibit. Parents and pupils enjoyed viewing the art and the variety of styles and techniques on display.
Celebrating Book Week Scotland! We had great fun during Book Week – quizzes, Buddy Reading, competitions… all the boys and girls and parents and staff had the opportunity to take part in the extra reading activities going on in school. Here are some of the amazing and brilliant ‘Design-a-Door’ scenes that we created, very impressive. Well done to everyone and watch this space to find out who won the Family Quiz!
Congratulations to Elham Najib P3 for her fabulous drawing which has been selected to be printed onto a window and hung in East Princess Street Gardens. This will be part of Edinburgh’s Christmas decorations and will be viewed by thousands of visitors to our city.
There were entries from primary, special and secondary schools in Edinburgh. Only twenty five were selected to be part of this special display.
Elham and her family have been invited to attend the launch event on Friday 25th November at the National Gallery of Scotland on the Mound.
There will be refreshments in the IT Gallery followed by a presentation in the Hawthornden Lecture Theatre and then a walk around the Winter Windows themselves including a photo shoot.
Well done Elham Najib P3
P3 Craigroyston Primary pupil Lennan Robertoson was chosen from hundreds of entries as a finalist in the Virgin Money Edinburgh Fireworks Poster Competition. He and 9 other finalists were shortlisted and got to meet Radio Forth DJ’s and other celebrities at the Awards Ceremony on Tuesday evening. While not in the top 3, Lennan’s amazing picture was highly commended and he received a goodie bag and special mug with his picture printed on it. Well done Lennan!
