Craigroyston Remembers

In P7 we have been working hard this week towardsimg_0824 Remembrance Day. We have been busy selling poppies to pupils and parents, making poppies with each class to turn into wreaths, writing poems, practising our words and learning new songs.

Today it all paid off when all of P1 to P7 was brought together for the first time this year for a special Remembrance Assembly. We looked at the importance of remembering and why we wear poppies to remember all those who have fought in the wars. At 11 o’clock we observed a 2 minute silence to show our respect.

We wrote our own poems inspired by Flanders Field. Leo and Emily read theirs out in Assembly today.
