The children were learning about the Festival of Light (Diwali) from one of our nursery parents today. Some children made diva lamps and also had the opportunity to colour rangoli patterns.
We all had the opportunity to taste a traditional Diwali snack called ‘jamun’.
A huge thank you to the PCA for organising this year’s Hallow’een Disco. It took place on Thursday 27th October. Over 200 children came along to the discos and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Their costumes were amazing and showed great imagination. It was good to see so many parents there too enjoying the atmosphere!
The children are looking forward to next year’s Hallow’een Disco already!
On Wednesday 12th October 2016, the Scottish Cup visited Craigroyston Primary. It was part of the Persevere Tour and we were delighted to be part of this exciting programme.
We heard how the Hibernian Football Club hadn’t given up in their quest to be holders of the oldest trophy in the world! It took 114 years for them to achieve their goal but in May this year they won the cup -A real story of perseverence.
All of the classes had their photograph taken with the trophy. If we have your permission to have your child’s picture on a website, you can see all the photos on the Hibs’ website.
