Welcome from P2L

We like work. We do stories, maths, literacy, numeracy, Big Writing, Newsround and we go to gym.

We brush our teeth, we eat fruit and we drink water and milk.

We are kind and helpful, we care for people and we are a healthy class.

We are P2L.

Primary 6 – Bikeability

bikeability

Primary 6 had a super week on our Bikeability course. We were learned lots of new skills, including controlling our bikes properly, bike maintenance and staying safe on the roads. Our instructors from MY Adventure were fantastic and came up with lots of fun activities to make sure our learning was enjoyable.

At the end of the course we got the opportunity to put all our new skills into practice with a cycling adventure in Muirhouse. On the Thursday we even had a visit from a very important person from the United Nations, who came to watch us learn.

P4 – Water of Leith Trip

water of leith

As part of our science topic on ‘Water’ we went on a trip to the Water of Leith Visitor Centre. Our workshop was called ‘Active Citizens-Sustainable Rivers’. We had the opportunity to use the interactive exhibition, walk through the woodlands, go river dipping, and make a water mill out of junk.

We learned how we can look after our rivers, explored the biodiversity of the woodlands. We also thought about pollution and flooding.

We really enjoyed our trip and would recommend it to other classes.
